Dean Bowen is an Australian artist working in painting, sculpture and printmaking. He has been awarded national and international awards including the Osaka Print Triennial and the Sapporo International Print Biennial award.

Currently, a major exhibition in Japan is touring five museums of modern art, featuring150 works made over the last 30 years (1992 to 2022).

Australia: Land, Sea, Birds and Creatures opened at the Tokushima Modern Art Museum, followed by the Museum of Modern Art, Gunma, Takasaki.The exhibition includes major bronze sculptures such as Smiling Kookaburra (large) 2021 and Echidna 2013 and many other bronzes, assemblages, oil paintings, works on paper and artists books.

Dean Bowen holds a Master of Arts (Printmaking) and a PhD (Printmaking) from Monash University.
