My paintings are a reflection of my surroundings. Things that are often overlooked and fill the background of our lives are an endless source of interest and inspiration to me. My goal is to paint simply and directly, presenting these places just the way I see them. I leave it to the viewer to bring their own associations, experiences, and explanations to my paintings.

I’m a landscape painter with a particular interest in carefully rendered views of houses, parking lots, gas stations, and anything else people don't fastidiously maintain. I grew up in Virginia, graduated from college in 2018, and since that time have been painting obsessively. Although I have limited formal training, I’ve been fortunate to study with as many artists as I can through workshops and classes, including Walt Bartman, Susan Abbott, Mark Boedges, and Joe Paquet.

I moved away from Brunswick in 2022, but it continues to be a place I return to again and again in my paintings. My time in Brunswick profoundly shaped the way I paint. I now live in Provo, Utah, but I enjoy painting nearly-empty highways and small towns anywhere from the Utah Valley to Appalachia to the Northeast Kingdom.
