Statement

" Antoine and Alexis founded their Studio BehaghelFoiny during their respective studies at the Duperré and ENSAD schools in Paris. Coming from an industrial design background, they test the limits of the discipline at the boundaries of experimentation, decoration, and craftsmanship.
The BehaghelFoiny Studio designs a new typology of furniture by mixing intuitive processes with semi-products, associating primitive gestures with digital techniques. They thus develop a "neo-prehistoric" approach. Their objects are covered with diverse and monstrous textures, meant to agitate our overly cautious domestic interiors. By reintegrating the manual in the production of objects and furniture, they tend to a new type of craft that would mutiny a production system dependent on heavy industry and a standardization of tastes. They seek, in the midst of industrial resources, an ability to produce objects in an absolutely autonomous way. Their furniture takes the form of transitory objects that call for a reflection on our modes of production".
