Griffin Loop, a Los Angeles-based artist, makes large-scale steel sculptures intended for public spaces. For him, experiencing art outdoors, in a context that’s freely accessible to all, enables pure experiences for the viewer. The artist believes that “art is our greatest vehicle to open, shift, expand, inspire.”

shape. is a set of 3 outlined geometric shapes exploring the relationships between each other from different perspectives. While each individual shape may be recognizable from one perspective, as you move around the set of sculptures, shifting your position expands the experience of the work.

You can see two other outdoor sculptures by Griffin Loop, both inspired by the form of paper
planes, near Blake Street House in downtown Bentonville and at Thaden School.
