To create Canoe Canoe, artist Jeff Zischke collected secondhand aluminum canoes and brought them to his studio in Scottsdale, AZ. He cut the boats, sanded them, and repainted them with vibrant colors. Then, he installed mahogany seats in the interior, along with solar lights in the bow (or front) of the vessels.

Placed here, at the edge of Lake Bentonville, Canoe Canoe invites you to sit, relax, and enjoy the natural environment. You may feel inspired to grab a canoe or kayak and paddle the lake yourself!
