The Old Covered Bridge painting is a bridge from a vacation Alice's son, Andrew, took in New England. What inspired her to create the painting were the reflections in the water, the exposed rocks underneath the bridge, the acute vertical viewpoint and the ragged line of the vertical siding boards.
