When the Mud Dries Lismore, 2022
100 × 150 cm Acrylic on earth stained cottonWinner of the 2022 Paddington Art Prize
'The recent floods in Lismore fuel this piece. The surface is batiked, referencing cell patterns of local flora, and the paint is thick and fast, like the mud and water. I merge these macro/micro worlds to consider the deep kinship of worldly matter.'
