Over rooftops and through branches I saw a tidy government building in the middle town.
Walking down the hill I found this building was the School of Arts. I remembered my father reminiscing about, before the war, he and his friends going to dances in these halls - he grew up not that far from this place in a small village called Wongarbon. Here I juxtapose an ‘en plein air’ painting done from the garden of Blenheim in Carcoar beside an imagined painting of this beautiful place as it might have been in the past.
