My work in The Selective Mutism Clinic often leads me to reflect on one’s individual sense of inner calm.

This painting evolved from a memory of a Summer night by a pool where we once stayed. The pool was still and luminous below the early night sky. It seemed to be a manifestation of the hope and resilience we can carry within us. The pool defies the enveloping shadows and is in conversation only with the rising moon.

We often find our inner light and strength in times of solitude and reflection.
