Painted on Gundungurra Country, NSW, ‘Endless Canopy’ is deeply connected to the land on which it was created, with the environment as equally engaged as myself in the process. Made entirely plein air, this work is both a subconscious action painting and a contemplative response to surrounding bushland of gums.

Built on spontaneous bursts of painterly actions, my role here is performative in nature, enlivened by the act of painting in an open landscape.
