My work aims to negotiate landscape as a gestural cartography, mapping sensations, re configuring memory and association through mark; targeting the felt vibrations of a journey .The aerated fluid spaces of my coastal home in Guruk/Port Macquarie become restorative spaces. As a long term carer this natural and familiar landscape provides a silent space to engage with ideas around relationships between landscape and belonging, landscape and renewal, landscape and memory; triggering potent associations and metaphors around strength, fragility, loss, renewal and nurture.
