From Japanese, "mikansei" can be translated as "the state of being incomplete." The desire for completion, resolution, and knowing what's what all the time have become part of western ideals for success. Lingering tasks and the unknown can create anxiety. Clear the desire to do too much, too fast and watch the moments when confidence and peace are hijacked by overwhelm. Resting into the process, particularly when life is difficult and unsure is where strength is fortified. Sometimes there is a joy in allowing for the incomplete.
