The domestic garden provides an intimate knowledge of the natural world. The painting is observant of the changes in my small garden over a year. Not four seasons but perhaps eight changes in climate and growth as the climate has become both wetter and drier at times in the year and prone to both fungal growths and scorched leaves,It is valued because it carries herbs and vegetables and overgrown , My neighbours vines shade and invade it,I chose recycled paper to make the homemade paper and painted in distilled herbal and vegetable pigments and added commercial watercolours and pigmentd inks
