Golden is about a sudden moment of clarity. A shaft of light, fierce, ambiguous, cuts through a darkened landscape. It might be sunlight, fire, a meteor, or something quieter; a breath, an insight, a shift in perception. This painting began as a feeling, a tension held in the body and in the landscape.

I work between the seen and the sensed, between outer forces like weather and light, and inner rhythms like breath and heartbeat. In Golden, these elements converge in a moment that feels both ancient and immediate. The artwork doesn’t explain the light. It simply makes space for it to arrive.
