This handwoven sculpture reflects the diverse scale and textures of the Australian landscape. Using recycled silk, linen, cotton, wire, and sustainably sourced raffia, its tiered form mirrors the continent's ancient rock strata and charred earth. The deep black palette captures scorched bushland and volcanic soils, while embedded saltwater pearls anchor the work to the surrounding coastline—framing the country as an interconnected system of earth, sea, and sky.
