Painting of Majella Creek in the Northern Territory situated in the area of the Cannon Hill mob. I've been on a number of painting trips to the NT and enjoy painting in the different terrain and light conditions. These trips inform my studio works and provide inspiration through the stories, place and the area's embedded history.

Artist Bio
Steve Lopes is a widely acclaimed international contemporary artist known for his figurative paintings. The Sydney-based painter and printmaker is known for his figurative landscapes. He often works en plein air, painting vignettes of places he uses as references for large-scale studio works.
