Standing at the gateway to Ballina, this iconic roadside landmark celebrates Australia's kitsch identity, transforming an everyday staple into a cultural monument. Painted as a photorealistic Polaroid, the work captures the nostalgia of family road trips and well-worn photo albums, with subtle imperfections in tone and framing echoing the character of cherished instant film.
