Large parts of the Blue Mountains National Park were devastated by the 2020 bushfires. Locals commented that these burnt areas were eerily silent where once they heard insects and birds.
Mountain Made is a celebration of the resilience of the Australian landscape. Charred trunks shoot fresh green, seeds take hold in crevices and wildflowers flourish. Today life has returned, cicadas thrum, birds call down the valleys and insects linger on local wildflowers. Hope and optimism feel irrepressible.
