Evie’s work begins as a study of composition and abstract shape, as layers are added, the paintings take on its own story. A symphony of light, colours and texture, painted from the heart and inspired by what drives Evie’s connection to our landscapes. Dream like scenes that have a simplicity and yet a complex layering to discover. Her work is luminous, transporting you to a place where the boundaries between reality and fantasy blur, where the mundane transforms into the magical. Evie’s current work has a playful and intense duality. The relationship between her use of colours, textures, moods and layers in her work, invite the viewer to evoke their curiosity and bring them on a journey of discovery.
