My work explores the subconscious and ""the shadows of the self,"" deeply influenced by personal experiences and various movements in art history. Dreamlike landscapes containing mysterious forms - some representational others more abstract -create a surrealist atmosphere which draws one in to see what's been unearthed. Pulpit Rock provides a Boschian medieval backdrop for a corporeal darkness revealing fractures of light, staging meta-morphosised, hybrid, reborn versions of me. This emanates from my immigrant European lineage originating from medieval roots and interest in religion as fantasy.
