Where to from here?, 2025
46 × 61 cm Oil on CanvasSold
The mid-North Coast of New South Wales experienced record-breaking floods in 2025. The scale, frequency and intensity of disasters grow. Timothy Morton describes climate change as a “hyperobject”: things that are so massively distributed in time and space relative to humans that we cannot completely grasp their essence. As our individual understanding begins to falter, nature feels disorienting and uncanny. In an era where human actions like burning fossil fuels are altering planetary life at an unfathomable scale, how do we re-imagine our relationship with our landscapes?
