yards-1 captures a moonrise over the hills as sheep gather in the yards after a long day's work. Soft moonlight and a faint glow from the shed create an intimate atmosphere.
Loose, blurred brushwork resists precise representation, instead conveying a sense of motion — the restless shuffle of the sheep, dust suspended in the warm night air, the subtle remnants of the day’s heat. Though the sun has set, the land remains alive. 
The work is as much about light and time as it is about place, a reflection on the beauty found in the habitual labor of rural life.
