This painting captures the quiet beauty of Dead Horse Gap in Kosciuszko National Park. This work reflects my personal experience of the alpine environment too, where the landscape feels both vast and magnificent,  as well as calm and intimate. By using soft colours, layered washes and open space, I expressed the stillness and clarity that define Australia’s high country.
