Before I called Tasmania home, I travelled the East Coast one Autumn. Having tasted delicious cheeses and stood beneath majestic falls, it was this scene that stopped me in my tracks. This field of dramatic contrasts, raw and rugged but serene at the same time. The deep green against the misty blue hills juxtaposed with the rich tapestry of weeds like nature’s own brushstrokes scattered at my feet. It was simply breathtaking and left a memory so vivid, I knew one day I had to paint it.
