This abstract landscape painting draws inspiration from the Box Vale Walking Track and the profound isolation experienced while exploring the Nattai River Valley. As I ventured through these secluded areas, often getting lost, I was struck by the landscape’s otherworldly quality—an almost surreal blend of history, nature, and solitude. The painting captures not the literal scenery but the emotions and sensations these places evoke; how light and shadow, nature and human traces, all blend.
