The landscape is minimal, a desert colour field, enormous perspective, spinifex, saltbush, red sandy earth. Nothing moves, silent, earth and sky fuse. An ancient land, baked, quartz crystals, spinifex, red iron sand, pools of water from a desert storm sit incongruous to the desert perspective. The rain restores colour. Occasionally a flat red rock on a vanishing edge of a pool, petroglyphs ancient, their creators, their custodians here and present.
I am only a visitor, this is not my land.
